Sorry to who this offends. I know a lot of people are ok with unions and you are more than entitled to your own beliefs. But I am not. I worked for several different unions, the BCGEU and CUPE (forgot the number) the longest two respectively. I watched and learned. If I didnt agree with something going on, I was attacked and ridiculed. Many times I was trapped on an island because of one. I was even walked to the ballot booth, lecturing to force me to vote yes on a strike vote (very democratic.) BTW I voted no and even showed the thug, which she told me I was violating my sisters and brothers (because I dared to think for myself!) The union management seem to penalize me (and others) because of my education (yes because we actually got our jobs based on merit.) The unions reward blind faith and mobster like tactics.  They promote inefficiency and nepotism opposed to merit based hiring and effective processes. They increase the cost of living which makes the poor suffer. Over the last 10+ years I have seen many wrongs committed by the unions. And I have seen more since coming to New Brunswick.  Unions were good in theory. In reality, they are just self-serving corrupt organizations like Telus and Irving. I wont support a corrupt business, so why would I support other types of corruption? So trust me, I will never change my mind on this. No matter how many people try.  Unions never equal justice, fairness or supporting people.  And if we want to help people, justice, fairness and support is what people really need. Sorry to whomever this offends but this is me.  You are welcome to your own point of view.
